Lucky Kansas City student recieves ride in popular car after first-place showing at Science Fair

One lucky student, Josh Wood, received the ride of a lifetime this past week in front of 30 fellow top science students. Firestone Indy Lights driver Arie Luyendyk Jr., son of the two time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk Sr., took Josh around the school in the Indy Racing Experience street-legal IndyCar.  Josh attends University Academy located in Kansas City, Mo.

Time Warner Cable, race sponsor of the IndyCar Series Road Runner Turbo Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway, rewarded Josh for the excellent work he has shown in the classroom, congratulating him on his first-place finish in a Science Fair earlier this year. While Josh cruised around the parking lot, his classmates were able to take pictures and watch how the car performed in action. Time Warner Cable presented each student in Josh’s class with two tickets to the upcoming Road Runner Turbo Indy 300, April 26, 2009.
